First Show of the Year

Made it to not one but two events today. Main one was the Bristol Classic Bike show which confusingly is held in Shepton Mallet. On the way there I dropped into a Bike Jumble at Bristol and met up with a bunch of people I hadn't met since the Hotrod Drags.

I then managed to persuade Stuart that a day looking at shite old bikes was better than a day doing shopping and housework so picked him up and headed off to the show.

This Triumph was on the Hill Climb Association stand.... I like it and think that Hill Climbing is something I might have a go at.

The main reason I had gone to Shepton Mallet was to collect a load of powder coated parts from Nick at Griff's I'll be updating http://tribsa.blogspot.com/ with details at some point.

The powder coating used up most of my cash so the only things I bought were the latest couple of issues of DiCE. I also met up with some of the Dirty Bobbers crowd which was nice.

Books that changed my life

Just think if I hadn't discovered the NEL biker books when I was a teenager I might have ended up putting on a suit every day to go and work in a bank.... oh arse, I do.

Snow....

It's been snowing so here is a picture of my bike in the snow

...I really must get around to fixing the clutch slave cylinder which has been shagged for weeks (I've even got the parts just a bit short of round tuits)

New Music...

These days I usually find new music from Amazon's 'people who bought this also bought this' feature. Which is why a CD by the Urban Voodoo Machine arrived yesterday.

I've got to see them live....

Stafford - Tidy Triumph

Seen this a couple of times, really tidy Triumph sort of tracker.

Stafford Show - Bikes I could have happlily taken home

Nice A10 Spitfire with the same tank I'm using on my TriBSA but in chrome. Stick an all alloy T100 lump in there and it would be perfect.

I know nothing about this bike apart from I like it and it says Norton on the side.

Always fancied a M20, this one was up for £2250.

Single cylinder, rigid frame, girders, have to prop it up when parked.... proper old bike.
